This charming one hundred year old bungalow remodel was one of our most delightful yet challenging projects ever. Converting what was previously a commercial office to a residence with various floor changes and different ceiling heights required taking the space down to the studs.Our goal was to bring it back to life with a soft, layered aesthetic that felt warm, welcoming, and like it had always been a home. We layered this California Casual-inspired bungalow with wide-plank white oak flooring for a bright, airy foundation, then brought in natural textures like rattan and beaded chandeliers to add depth and character. Warm wood tones and aged brass details create that perfect balance of relaxed elegance—effortless, yet refined.It’s proof that even a century-old office building can become the dreamiest bungalow with the right vision (and a lot of love).
